Abstract

The strategy of “One Belt, One Way”

and modern transport links China-Azerbaijan

Purpose - analysis and evaluation the strategy "One belt one way" have put forward by China in the direction of the revival the historical Silk Road and modern transport communications China-Azerbaijan, as well as the nomination of proposals for the effective use of transit potential of Azerbaijan.

Design/methodology - systematic approach, methods of factor and comparative analyses.

Findings - in the context of the strategy of "One belt, one way" assessed prospects for transport communications China-Azerbaijan, put forward justified proposals for the effective use of transit potential of Azerbaijan.

Research limitations - the existence of variability trends in connection with the implementation of regional transport strategies.

Practical implications - the ability to use in the preparation of strategies and concepts of deepening economic relations of the Azerbaijan-China and the effective use of transit potential of Azerbaijan.

Originality/value - holding generalizations of current research on the subject of the new and the historic Silk Road and the issuance of new assessments of the transit potential of Azerbaijan.
