Indicators of economic development of countries and the position of

Azerbaijan in the world rankings

The article is devoted to research reports in terms of economic development of countries, their nature, methodology and tools produced by leading global credit rating agencies, including on the position taken there in by the Republic of Azerbaijan. To achieve this goal in the text are given materials covering research directions - characteristics of indicators on economic development, assessment of their global ranking and to appropriate in the context of global indices determined place of Azerbaijan among the world states. The obvious dynamism of the rapid development of Azerbaijan in these ratings reveals her moderate position among the world's socio-economic indicators, and conducted by the state's development strategy gives grounds to assert that in the medium term republic, possessing certain capabilities may take place in the 45-35 among powerful countries.
