Abstract

The article analyzes the role and significance of the energy audit institution in the electric and energy  sector, justifies the effectiveness of its formation and application in the Republic of Azerbaijan. It is indicated that the country has begun a process of broad reforms in this direction and work on improving the relevant regulatory framework. In order to ensure effective implementation of these activities, it is necessary to further accelerate the process of reforms carried out in the relevant direction, determine incentive efficiency limits for the rational use of energy resources, adopt international standards and norms in the field of energy efficiency, use advanced technologies and increase innovation.
