In the development of the modern global economy, the electric power industry is increasing its important role and continues to play a leading role. Every year, consumer demands in this direction are growing, and new generating capacities are being put into circulation. Special attention is paid to the development of this sphere in the Republic of Azerbaijan. As a result of the energy policy implemented and the measures taken, the country's electricity security has been fully ensured, and Azerbaijan has become an export-oriented country in this area and is ranked second in the world for the electricity accessibility ratio. The reforms carried out in this sector are deepening and entering a new stage of development, the supply of electricity to the population is steadily improving, development of the economy and national energy security are further strengthened. All these issues of scientific actuality form the main line of Article research on the basis of reviews and evaluations. On the basis of the analysis, the article presents new directions expanding the main targets of development in the electroenergetic sector of Azerbaijan.
