Article is devoted to research of problems of functioning of joint ventures. In it, basing on global experience it is analyzed scientific-empirical realities, tendencies of development of the concept of joint ventures and on a background of oil strategy are investigated problems of transformation.

By the lead analysis it is determined that, increase of activity of joint ventures existing in national oil sector causes institutionally and branch changes. And for this purpose improvement of branch specification-legal base, formation business of the environment sensitively reacting on changing situations, formation of the central coordination and supervising system, activization on a basis the shareholder and diversification is necessary for the property a portfolio of investments. Increase of industrial and administrative efficiency and increase in growing innovative demand, amplification of economic-ecological actions and a format the status of modernization maintenance of steady development.
